Great for lo-fi applications
The 5-stars is in consideration for what these are – cheap, basically disposable earphones.Great deal for the money, not audiophile’s dream.I use them with my metal detector, as I generally don’t want to broadcast the chirps and squeals of the detector, and I didn’t want to sink a bunch of $$$ in bulky, over-the-ear headsets. these are relatively discreet and I don’t have to worry about babying them or losing them. I haven’t lost or destroyed any yet – though wouldn’t cry if I did.So, for podcasts or phone calls or metal detectors, these are great. For music, or movies, shell out a bit more for better sound.They are what they are. Good deal, no worries.

The headphones came well packaged and work very well! These came in a pack of 5 at a very reasonable price, and I didn’t think they’d be as good quality as they are, but they are awesome!

An Okay Skullcandy Replacement
Since Skullcandy products are becoming scarce in my area, I am forced to look elsewhere. I hate the idea of paying $20 for two pair of Skullcandy earbuds via Amazon. Five pairs for $13-ish? Yes please.So, why the 3/5 rating then?These headphones fit comfortably in my ears, so no issues there. I don’t have the need to use the microphone, so I can’t give any opinions on that. The sound is clear, but low/muffled. (Perhaps that’s intentional to preserve hearing as persistent sounds directly shot into the ear canals will potentially lead to hearing loss.)This feature is very important to me: there’s absolutely NO noise isolation. If you want to drown out people on a noisy bus, airplane, etc, these will not work for such occasions. If you’re in a quiet room, these will work fine.I’m now considering just shelling out the extra money for the Skullcandy earbuds…..

They serve their purpose
Bought these initially for a flight. They served their purpose to watch a movie. If you’re buying these for fantastic sound, you should know for the price this is not your item. You can hear just fine. But don’t expect them to block out background noise. I do buy a box for each kid at the beginning of the school year as they need them at school for their tablets. Some kids have 1 set left at the end of the year and some have 2 or 3.

The listening sound quality on 3 was poor. Two sets one ear didnt work.Mic audio was worse than listening. Other party said it was tinny and had a bad noise.
